Due to an internal promotion Swisslog is seeking a talent and passionate Design professional to join our growing team. In this exciting role, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our customer projects, from initial design concepts to final pricing and proposals. You'll leverage your technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions that meet our customers' unique needs.
Here's what you'll do:
- Take ownership of the design and estimating process for Swisslog’s customers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Champion quality by ensuring the design and procurement of internal supplies are in line with the TC division of work, Swisslog’s quality process
- Ensure that the cost estimations relating to the implementation of the design are accurate
- Success in this role is measured by:
- Swisslog’s customers receiving accurate pricing compared to realised costs
- A high quality of design work with a low error rate
- Transparent logical and consistent design assumptions and methologies
- Innovation level and robustness of technical concept and specification produced
- Appropriate use of design tools and costing models
- Structure, logic flow and appearance of drawings, documentation and materials
What you need to succeed
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably Mechatronic, Mechanical or similar
- You’re proficient in Microsoft products
- You have excellent communication skills (oral/written)
- You pride yourself on your strong attention to detail
- You have proven ability to meet deadlines
- You are experienced with Excel, Power BI and 3D modelling software (eg: Sketch-Up, Revit, Solid Works)
- You have prior experience in a sales environment (desirable)
- You have previous experience in a technical design role within automation or intralogisitcs (desirable)
