Make an impact

Month End and Group Reporting

  •      to oversee and control the close for various legal entities under IFRS for reporting to Corporate at each month end,
  • to manage any issues which arise during the close, review the accounts in their entirety for accuracy prior to Group Reporting,
  • to provide technical accounting instructions around any complex areas (Equity, TPAs, intangibles etc),
  • to understand, analyse and provide commentary on the numbers as required,
  • review and approve Balance Sheet reconciliation,
  • review and approve journal entries prepared by the team,
  • review and approve tax calculation,
  • review and approve BS review files,
  • manage escalations related to the issue arise during the close.

Statutory Reporting, Internal and External Auditors and Taxation

  •        to oversee the production of statutory accounts under local GAAP,
  • review Financial Statements prepared by the teams,
  • to ensure that the interim and year-end statutory audits deadlines are met. Audits finished in time and Financial Statements are published before the deadline,
  • work with internal auditors to ensure the entities are always in compliance with statutory regulations, Group, and relevant internal policies. Key point of contact for internal audits,
  • review all workings required for the Tax filings,
  • to review tax package on quarterly basis,
  • to continuously look for efficiencies in internal and external audits,
  • make sure that the team has enough resources and knowledge to prepare the Financial Statement and manage the tax returns.

 

Project Management

  •    To initiate and monitor the process and systems standardization and automation projects.

 

Leadership and People Management

  •   Manage the Statutory Accounting team (6 AM, M) for the dedicated country/cluster (people management, goal setting, evaluation, hiring, promotion etc.),
  • resource planning and monitoring. Make sure that new transitions are appropriately resourced, and the work is allocated evenly within the team,
  • to be a part of the Statutory Accounting Leadership Team,
  • initiate new ideas to improve the efficiency of the team,
  • streamline and standardize the processes between the teams,
  • implement new tools to improve the quality and efficiency of the teams,
  • make sure that the strategic goals set by the GPO are met by the team,
  • to roll out KPIs and report to stakeholders and monitor the team’s performance through the KPIs,
  • to manage any stakeholder queries/escalations and/or concerns.

What you need to succeed

  • Minimum 12+ years post qualification experience,
  •      4+ years of management experience,
  •      experience as an auditor or in full-scope accounting is required,
  •    detailed knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS is essential,
  •      prior people management experience is required. Ability to manage multicultural teams,
  •      experience in leading projects,
  •       confidence and ability to work on own initiative,
  •        strong IT skill set, with ability to analyse large data files and use SAP and other systems,
  •        ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines managing multiple priorities,
  •      a “can do” attitude is essential. Ability to adapt to change and to make changes to drive efficiencies in processes is especially important,
  •       strong communication skills,
  •      tenacity and determination to ensure goals are achieved.
