Make an impact
- Provide support to the teams during the close process on accounting technical areas,
- manage 1 or 2 assistant managers (people management, goal setting, evaluation etc.),
- manage the close for various legal entities under IFRS for reporting to corporate at each month end,
- organize and hold month-end closing calls to ensure the timely closing,
- prepare and approve any balance sheet reconciliations under scope for the statutory team,
- provide support to the transaction GL team as required during the close on accounting technical areas (Equity, TPAs, intangibles etc), also ensure the entire close (AR, AP, etc) are completed in line with the reporting timetable,
- calculate, prepare, review and approve various journal entries (payroll, tax, other accruals),
- manage interim and year-end statutory audits from planning to completion,
- participate in the process and systems standardization and automation initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a Professional Accountancy qualification,
- minimum 8-12 years post qualification experience,
- experience as an auditor or in full-scope accounting,
- knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS and SAP,
- strong communication skills in English both written and verbal, another European language skill is a plus,
- comfortable to work in a multicultural SSC environment,
- former people management experience is a plus.
