Leads, manages, plans, and supervises sales personnel and sales activities of current products and services within a given geographic, industry, or technical competence. Performs duties personally and/or supervises subordinates to increase unit sales and profitability.
Responsible for identification, penetration, positioning the brand, and closing sales to existing and potential end-users and system partners. Supports marketing efforts to promote the brand. Achieves or exceeds budgeted unit, revenue, and profit margins within operating expense budget requirements for assigned scope of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops and establishes strategic and tactical sales and assignment-specific marketing plans to achieve specified corporate goals, budgets, and objectives for products and services.
- Develops plans, support material and training to market and sell the company’s product to assigned market in the most efficient manner with minimal or no development of the product.
- Coordinates direct sales and distribution by establishing and developing territories, staffing, and supervising subordinates.
- Establishes goals, objectives, strategies, actions, training, and performance measurables and evaluates performance of subordinates to ensure they meet sales goals and budgets.
- Monitors and provides timely input into monthly sales forecasting activities and sets resource prioritization and deployment to meet or exceed forecasts.
- Prepares various sales reports including sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion in given subordinate, geographic, industry, or technical assignments.
- Develops system partners and end-customers to be capable of recommending the right partner to the right end customer application.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners within the given geographic, industry, or other assignment(s).
- Assists the Channel Manager to find, develop, and support, from a commercial and sales aspect, systems partners who can add value to KUKA product and implement said product in an effective, safe manner meeting the customers’ goals.
- Actively supports, participates and delivers presentations. Establishes and negotiates agreements in coordination with sales pursuit team representatives to close deals.
- Provides direction and timely feedback, in coordination with the Director of Mobility or President, to key KUKA sales, business, and product development personnel, regarding the needs of the market and System Partners.
- Travels extensively (domestic and some international) for customer visits, various meetings, training, and tradeshows.
- Understands and follows safety regulations and identifies safety concerns, adheres to the Quality Systems and participates in continual improvement and complies with all corporate compliance policies and business guidelines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the given geographic and industry assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's target culture, policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; complying to and reinforcing corporate compliance requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 5 years’ robot product and robotic solutions end-user sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
