Engineering Site Manager, ASDA, Lutterworth.  Working Monday to Friday days, salary dependent on experience. Excellent company benefits to include private health care, company contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus stats.

  • We are seeking a dedicated individual to be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily activities of a large engineering team in an automated warehouse.  
  • You will provide operational management oversight, demonstrating responsibility and ownership of the allocated customer site, ensuring that all SLAs and KPIs are attained and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • You will manage and coordinate the daily activities of the resident site leaders, resident engineering teams & support staff through effective planning and organization.  Conducting performance management reviews, coaching and mentoring the team and ensuring they have the training, skills and knowledge to carry out their duties.
  • Ensure that the Company’s and customers safety regulations are followed at all times, and report any anomalies immediately
  • To be responsible for the implementation of the health and safety policy and procedures on the resident sites
  • Prepare and participate in method statements, risk assessments, and client user and maintenance documentation.
  • Drive and document Continuous improvement initiatives that offer the customer added value. Work in conjunction with the site team to identify and implement these improvements.
  • Ensure professional Swisslog representation at all times.

What you need to succeed

The Person – Engineering Site Manager

  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced Engineering Manager with a number of years’ experience in this role and used to managing large teams of Engineers.
  • You will need a good understanding / experience of automation.
  • An Apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical/controls engineering, qualified to a minimum of Level 3. 
  • You will be a dedicated individual who has strong skills and knowledge in leadership, coaching and mentoring, performance management reviews, health and safety, client engagement, flexibility, teamwork and integrity.
  • Have experience of PPM and shift planning.
  • Able to drive continuous improvements.
  • This is a customer facing role, so you will need excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A good understanding of all Microsoft Packages and the ability to write and deliver reports to Swisslog and the Customer.
  • Applicants must communicate openly, effectively and consistently with all stakeholder groups and focus on customer needs and customer satisfaction.
