Make an impact
The incumbent plays a dual role in overseeing project financials while supporting strategic financial planning and analysis. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting, ensuring projects stay within budget and align with the company's financial goals.
Project Controlling Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual vs. budgeted project expenses.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure financial targets are met.
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, contract terms, and financial controls.
• Support project risk assessment and mitigation planning.
FP&A Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term strategic plans.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights for business decision-making.
• Conduct scenario analysis and financial modeling for projects and company initiatives.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.
• Collaborate with different departments to drive financial efficiency.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 4–7 years in Project Controlling, FP&A, or a related finance role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial tools (example SAP).
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant financial regulations (preferred).
