Make an impact

Swisslog provides on-site system operations support through resident engineers and technical teams who manage the full lifecycle of warehouse automation systems. This includes:

 

  • Installation and Commissioning
  • Ongoing Maintenance and Upgrades
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Spare Parts Management
  • Software and Mechanical Support

 

We are seeking a dynamic Head of System Operation to manage our Nordic operation based out of Oslo with hybrid working available.

 

  • Manage and develop System Operations across the Nordic region in alignment with agreed objectives and budgetary targets.
  • Ensure effective management of existing customer contracts, maintaining compliance and service quality.
  • Continuously enhance services for existing customers to reflect technological advancements and evolving customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities for modernization and system extensions within the current customer base through proactive engagement.
  • Pursue new business opportunities as they arise and provide support to Account Management (AM) in developing these opportunities.
  • Assist AM in renegotiating existing contracts and securing new System Operation agreements.
  • Develop and mentor the subordinate management team
  • Oversee people management activities, including resource planning, motivation, coaching, coordination, and performance management.

What you need to succeed

  • Experience of managing large service delivery organizations in an engineering environment
  • Experience in setting and controlling budgets
  • Previous experience of continuous improvement work 
  • Experience in sales of services is desirable
  • Experience in using ERP systems is desirable
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid driving licence and able to travel in the Nordics when necessary to visit customer sites
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Fluent in written and oral English language
  • Knowledge of health and safety is desirable
