Make an impact
- Manage the global network security infrastructure. (WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, Firewall, Proxy, Load balancing and other networking components),
- monitor and maintain the global network security infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability,
- plan and execute upgrades and updates to keep systems up to date and secure,
- implement network security measures to protect data and systems,
- automate recurring tasks in the area of the Network Security team,
- maintain documentation of the network security infrastructure,
- process incoming service requests and incidents as part of the daily operation,
- stay updated with the latest network security technologies and best practices.
What you need to succeed
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role,
- relevant Network certifications or equivalent experience (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
- good knowledge of network, communication, and security protocols, technologies, and standards. (Including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.),
- experience with corporate network environments,
- routing & switching (Cisco/Cloud),
- wireless (Cisco),
- security (Zscaler/Checkpoint/Fortinet),
- monitoring (CheckMK),
- documentation (Netbox/AzureDevOps),
- knowledge of scripting and automation is a clear plus (e.g., Python, Ansible),
- understanding of cloud networking is a clear plus (e.g., AWS, Azure),
- good written and verbal communication in English, German is a plus,
- ability to work independently and as part of a team,
- strong communication, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills,
- ability to work under pressure, effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
