Swisslog are currently seeking a Controls Service Engineer based out of Maranello with travel required to customers in Italy.

As a Controls Service Engineer for fully automated intralogistics systems, you will play a key role in operations. Your main tasks include on-call services, where you will intervene quickly and efficiently in the event of malfunctions.

 

  • You are responsible for on-call services, quickly and efficiently addressing disruptions as they occur.
  • You provide remote 2nd- and 3rd-level support to ensure the systems operate smoothly.
  • You independently manage smaller projects, leveraging your comprehensive technical expertise.
  • You demonstrate your specialist knowledge during the retrofitting and modernization of existing systems, ensuring our technologies remain up-to-date.
  • Creating detailed documentation is also part of your responsibilities, and you actively share your knowledge with the team to support your colleagues.
  • With travel up to 20%, you are have flexibility to assist on-site with customer issues or support project implementation as needed.
  • Create and maintain good relations with customers (internal and external)

Requisiti per il successo

  • You should ideally have a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics, or a comparable qualification such as an HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineerin
  • You have solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3.
  • You possess comprehensive knowledge in fieldbus systems, HMI systems, and frequency converters.
  • You are capable of reading electrical schematics and have practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and control technologies.
  • Ideally but not essential application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems (conveyors, monorail, etc.) would be a distinct advantage.
