The Engineering Tools team is responsible for the digital tools used by our engineers in product development and product engineering. Today we are using several different CAD software, such as Siemens NX, Inventor and Solid Works and you will be an important player in our harmonization journey towards one harmonized CAD setup. Your responsibility will be to drive the development and implementation of the mechanical CAD solutions and continuously work on improvements to optimize the technical performance. You will be the central point of contact and provide guidance and support for global teams.

 

Your Role

  • Tool development and integration – Work closely with IT ensuring that our MCAD systems, meet the needs of engineering processes and integrate with existing systems and workflows. Prioritize features and user stories based on business value. 
  • Develop training program and material – to help engineers effectively use the tools including conduct training sessions and workshops and develop best practices in CAD.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mechanical CAD software - Evaluate and recommend new tools, features and technologies to enhance engineering processes and develop a roadmap for our MCADtools.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives - to optimize tools performance. Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure product quality.
  • Maintenance and support - Provide ongoing support for our MCAD tools and help, report and prioritize IT support issues.
  • Collaboration and coordination- with engineering and development teams, IT and software and cross-functional teams. Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and end-users.
  • Being the representative for mechanical CAD applications in global initiatives.
  • Driving the automation processes in mechanical design.

Your Profile

  • A relevant degree, for example Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens NX preferably, also other MCADtools, such as Inventor & Solid Works.
  • Experience working in Agile development environment
  • Experience in Agile or Product Management is a plus
  • Experience as a Product Owner or similar role is a plus
  • Good understanding of product engineering processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
