Make an impact

KUKA are currently seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to grow our robotics business in the Netherlands. The position can be home based with travel to the customer and KUKA offices when required. The Area Sales Manager reports to the Sales & Country Manager KUKA BNL. The Area Sales Manager works closely with direct colleagues including the other sales team members and with other employees of KUKA Automatisering & Robotics N.V.

 

  • Contact assigned customer accounts or prospects to sell company products within a designated
    geography or industry. Focuses on meeting personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting specific customer problems.
  • Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues.
  • Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; tailor standard materials to make presentations to decision-makers and influencers within the customer organization and ask relevant questions to gather information to evaluate the customer's level of interest and to identify and respond to
    areas requiring further information or explanation.
  • Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.
  • Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard products and/or services offered by the organization that meet the customer's needs.
  • Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong external customer relationships.

What you need to succeed

  • Robotics sales experience - proven track record selling industrial automation, autonomous systems, or advanced mechatronics solutions to enterprise or manufacturing clients.

  • Technical understanding of robotics - familiarity with sensors, motion control, AI/ML integration, robotic arms, AMRs/AGVs, or automation software platforms; able to translate technical capabilities into business value.

  • B2B enterprise sales leadership - experience managing full sales cycles, from prospecting to contract negotiation.

  • Industry network - established relationships within manufacturing, logistics, automotive, aerospace, or other automation-heavy sectors.

  • Dutch and English language skills 

  • Able to travel to customer sites predominantly in the south of the Netherlands
