Short Description
The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s data strategy, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. This role involves leading a team of data professionals, developing data policies, and implementing best practices to leverage data as a strategic asset.
Make an impact
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists.
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Data Architecture: Design and maintain the data architecture to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand data requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Technology Implementation: Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools and technologies.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on data management performance metrics and KPIs.
- Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data management practices.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred,
- minimum 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role,
- strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data architecture,
- proficiency in data management tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools, data warehousing solutions),
- excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills,
- ability to translate business requirements into data solutions,
- experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA),
- certification such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar is a plus.
- experience in top-tech international manufacturing environment is a plus.
