Make an impact
The finance intern will support the Finance team with day-to-day financial operations, analysis and reporting. This role provides hands-on exposure to financial processes and commercial decision making, offering an excellent foundation for a career in finance.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with processing supplier invoices, reconciliating supplier accounts and liasing with suppliers to ensure timely payment of their invoices.
- Assist with the preparation of sales invoices to customers and the daily reconciliation of the company's bank accounts. Plus chasing overdue customer debts.
- Support the Head of Finance in the preparation of management accounts and reports thereafer, which will be circulated to internal management to assist their decision making.
- Help to generate and pay suppliers, plus updating cashflows to reflect customer and supplier entries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on all finance related matters.
What you need to succeed
The successful candidate will be currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field.
You will also have:
- A basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Knowledge of excel (pivot tables, formulas preferred)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Team oriented with professional attitude.
