Our Field Service Engineers are responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, such as pallet stacker cranes, conveyors and robotics systems, as well as emergency corrective measures. As a Field Service Engineer you play a key role within the Customer Service organization.
- You will make sure customer system operation is kept to the maximum at all times, ensuring adherence to all the relevant instructions and technical standards.
- You will work towards maintaining good customer relations and act as Swisslog’s public face and jointly with the customer plan, carry out work in a way that ensures good customer satisfaction.
- You will take part in continuous improvement initiatives and sharing knowledge within Swisslog.
- You understand the importance of Health and Safety reglations and make sure you always conduct your work in a safe matter.
You will also be part of the preparedness group and support with aqute incidents that can not be amended remotely by our other support teams within Controls and Software.
What you need to succeed
- It is essential that the successful candidate has several years of previous experience as a service technician, preferably within electronics or automation and broad experience in electronics, control systems, mechanics or pneumatics.
- In addition, you have a a technical degree or vocational certificate in a relevant area combined with strong administrative skills using different computer systems.
- You are used to troubleshooting and finding solutions to complex problems in a structured way.
- Furthermore, you are also used to working with documentation and reportings.
- You hold a valid drivers license and you are used to psysical work and working at heights.
- In addition, you have a willingness to travel (90%) with a hands-on mindset and flexibility to support operational incidents.
- You are fluent in Swedish and English in writing and speaking.
