Make an impact
- Design and modify mechanical components and assemblies using Siemens NX
- Create and maintain CAD models and technical drawings for production
- Support and optimize manufacturing processes in cooperation with the responsible people including:
- Laser cutting, punching, and combination machine operations
- CNC bending and press brake programming
- Welding process coordination (MIG/MAG, TIG, robotic welding)
- Mechanical (and electrical) assembly workflows
- Surface treatment and powder coating process support
- Develop and update work instructions and process documentation
- Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to solve technical issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen)
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify efficiency opportunities regarding cycle times
- Support SAP-related tasks (BOM management, routing, material master data)
- Prepare technical presentations and reports using MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g. ISO, EN)
- Promote and ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards in all engineering and production activities
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks in manufacturing processes
What you need to succeed
- University degree in mechanical engineering (MSc) or manufacturing technology or equivalent
- Experience in CAD modeling, especially in Siemens NX environment
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings
- User-level knowledge of SAP (material management, bill of materials, production processes)
- Strong active command of English
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Ideally the candidate has previous experience in the following areas:
- Sheet metal processing: laser cutting, punching, combined machines
- Bending technologies: CNC press brakes, tool selection, bending sequences
- Welding: basic knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG, and robotic welding
- Assembly processes: mechanical and electrical assembly, creation of work instructions
- Surface treatment: powder coating process steps and quality control
