Make an impact

As an Electrical Designer, you play a key role in shaping the next generation of electrical designs for Swisslog’s products and solutions. Your work drives innovation, enhances technical performance, and ensures reliable, future‑proof systems. You will join a global team where you can work with cutting-edge solutions and help shape the future of intralogistics.

In this role, your core responsibilities include:

  • Develop and optimize electrical designs for new and existing intralogistics products and solutions.
  • Lead and support R&D activities, including prototyping, testing, and validating new concepts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, specifications, and reports.
  • Create and conduct internal trainings for electrical engineers on concepts and interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and controls engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions.
  • Participate in risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements.
  • Conduct technology scouting and contribute to cost estimates, feasibility studies, and continuous product improvements.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience), plus 3–5 years of design experience.
  • Strong background in electrical engineering and automation, able to turn complex challenges into practical solutions.
  • Motivated to develop sustainable, high‑quality, future‑proof automation solutions.
  • Experience with risk analyses and working with industry standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of EPLAN (considered an advantage).
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
