Make an impact

As Director of SIOP, you are responsible for overseeing Swisslog’s sales, inventory, and operations planning process on a global level. This role involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory, and distribution of goods and services. By ensuring alignment between the sales forecast, inventory levels, and production schedules you help us to meet our customer demands efficiently.

 

  • Develop and Manage SIOP Process: You lead the development and implementation of the SIOP process globally.
  • Forecasting and Demand Planning: You create accurate demand forecasts, align them with Supply Chain (product manufacturing/assembly) and analyze sales trends and market data to adjust forecasts as needed
  • Inventory Management: You optimize inventory levels to balance customer service requirements with cost efficiency.
  • Production Planning: You coordinate with Supply Chain to develop production/assembly schedules that meet demand forecasts while maximizing resource utilization.
  • Performance Metrics: You establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the SIOP process and drive continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate regular SIOP meetings with key stakeholders to review performance, address issues, and update plans. Ensure all departments are aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Risk Management: You identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure contingency plans are in place to handle demand fluctuations or supply disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement: You initiate and coordinate initiatives to improve the SIOP process, including the adoption of new technologies and best practices with Continuous Improvement.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in Forecasting and Demand Planning in a project driven environment
  • In-depth knowledge in Production Planning
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English skills
