The Internal Communications Manager ensures clear, consistent and aligned internal communication across Swisslog Healthcare, enabling effective execution of strategy and supporting an open and informed organizational environment. It translates business priorities, leadership decisions and group level narratives into coherent communication that is understood across regions, functions and employee groups.
This position combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability. It supports leadership communication, organizational initiatives, and cultural topics through high-end quality messaging, storytelling, and professional communication materials.
Make an impact
- Develop internal communication strategies and road maps throughout SLHC in order to influence, shape, advance and integrate global communications strategies across the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and Group-level narratives.
- Partner closely with P&O to translate people priorities, initiatives and decisions into clear internal communication and partner on how and when to communicate sensitive or complex organizational topics.
- Lead the planning, organization, coordination and execution of internal meetings, corporate events and conferences such as Regional Kick-Off Meetings, Annual Leadership Meeting, Regional Town Hall Meetings and other engagement programs.
- Support employer branding initiatives through effective internal and external communication and across various channels (intranet, LinkedIn, video messaging)
- Support cultural initiatives by ensuring communication is aligned, credible and connected.
- Create, structure and refine high quality power point presentations for senior leadership, townhalls and employee facing communications
- Define, measure, evaluate and analyze internal communication activities based on KPIs.
- Develop, produce and deliver programs and services that promote employee retention and enable executives to share, learn about and influence issues within the corporate environment in response to suggestion box comments, employee satisfaction survey, customer satisfaction feedback, etc.
- Develop independent content (text, image, video) and support of team members in content creation for organization announcements, internal videos, town hall meetings, etc.
- Maintain internal events & programming budgets.
- Problem-solve and determine solutions in conjunction with senior leadership to lead, drive and implement proactive actions and events to identify and implement opportunities for quality and consistent improvement in communication and business process.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts, employee retention, policy adoption, corporate culture, trust and Swisslog Healthcare core values.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
What you need to succeed
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, Masters a plus
- Minimum of 5-7 years in internal communications, corporate communications or a comparable role
- Proven experience working in a global, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
- Must have experience in writing and turning complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously
- Excellent PowerPoint skills, able to create clear, compelling, and visually strong presentations
- Solid visual storytelling skills (layout, structure, flow, messaging)
- Video editing experience is a strong plus
- Strong writing skills in English (clear, concise, audience focused)
- Strong presentation skills, strong leadership skills, able to work collaboratively
- Experience communicating to all levels of an organization
- Strong (internal and external) customer focus and relationship management skills; ability to be influence behaviors and results -- both internally and externally
- Experience managing outside vendors
- Sensitivity for addressing various internal target groups
- Clear communication skills both verbally and written and skill in presenting concepts and ideas to a wide range of audiences
- Display the ability to change focus and re-prioritizing under pressure covering a broad range of tasks requiring strong decision-making skills
- Project Management experience
- Excellent time management and general organizational skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Present self professionally as highly visible role internally and externally
- Maintain high degree of accuracy as margin for error is small due to critical audience
Desirable but not Essential:
- Strong organizational knowledge of healthcare market technology trends and clear understanding of Swisslog Healthcare services and solutions
- Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) with photo editing skills
- Experience in graphic design
Salary range for this position is $67,000 - $85,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
