Business Development Representative - Denver, CO
The Business Development Representative (BDR) researches, identifies, prospects and qualifies new sales leads within our existing customer base, and discovers and explores new business opportunities to support the sales enterprise. This individual will gain experience interacting with clients within the healthcare industry in the facilities, operations, lab, and or pharmacy teams. The BDR is often the first point of contact with a potential new customer and will need to be well versed in the Swisslog Healthcare Portfolio to respond and develop the lead.

Make an impact
- Collaborate with your Regional Sales Directors and Inside Sales reps to ensure that all open sales opportunities in your region are fully qualified, and that you have researched all possible business solutions that might benefit that customer.
- If there are opportunities greater than 6 months old with no activity, you need to re-engage, re-qualify, and move along with the reps or close the opportunity.
Ensure that any new leads that come in are being responded to same day or within 24 hours; then follow the 3/5/7 day follow up. - Demonstrate the internal drive and self-discipline needed to prospect every day within our existing customer base as well as cold call outside of our customer base.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors & Inside Sales reps to identify new targets to qualify and convert for them.
- Develop strategic approaches to engage with new prospects, current and past clients, using LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Salesforce CRM and other available 3rd party sources of information to identify new business opportunities and develop prospect- and client-specific profile information.
- Continually maintain a high degree of understanding of Swisslog Healthcare's solution offerings and knowledge of market trends and key issues influencing business.
- Participate in trade shows and/or follow up on leads provided from trade shows. Effectively tailor our brand messaging and create value to continue qualifying the lead.
- Utilize our CRM tool to notate all details about the prospective sales lead, adding valuable new data and ensuring that the contact information is correct and all notes are entered. This includes notating competitor data and updating contact cards in real time as you learn of role changes.
- Research hospital facility RFP (Request for Proposal) sites to ensure that we are on the most up-to-date sites to receive new bid opportunities.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, as you will often need to serve as a liaison between the sales lead and their Regional Sales Director or Inside Sales Rep.
- Collaborate with our Sales Enablement consultants to give presentations to prospective leads in order to further qualify them.
- Prepare and manage all prospecting lists, and accurately track customer interactions and information within Salesforce.
- Deliver best-in-class customer support. This includes working with new team members and helping to train them in our policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
What you need to succeed
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience with prospecting calls.
- Associate or bachelor degree; or equivalent experience.
- Outbound client contact skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience in both SAP and SalesForce.com strongly preferred; or equivalent CRM experience.
- Ability to utilize internet search and reporting functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Experience being held to metrics/KPIs.
Desirable, but not Essential:
- Presentation production experience.
- Small-event management experience.
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $56,000 - $65,000, plus sales incentives. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
