To help us build warehouse platform systems that support key infrastructure components to delivery real-time automation environments for our internal and external customers, we are looking for an Software Infrastructure Engineer who can be responsible for designing, building and maintaining our hardware, database, and network environments on-premise, cloud based, or hybrid models. The Software Infrastructure Engineer position participates on a team responsible for designing, operational monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT infrastructure systems that provide DevOps and deployment platforms that support Warehouse Automation products and solutions.

 

Make an impact

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure (storage, servers, operating systems, 3rd party applications, VM software, and other platform tools) across on-premise and cloud environments to support product (SDLC) and project (ProjectDLC) development processes to deliver Warehouse automation systems and solutions.
  • Manage database performance tuning, optimizations, and security hardening.
  • Implement automated backup and disaster recovery strategies for infrastructure, databases, and critical systems.
  • Administer identity and access management (IAM), Active Directory, Single sign on systems, and security policies.
  • Optimize storage, compute, and networking performance across data centers and cloud services.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or CloudFormation) automation software as defined for platform and infrastructure functional areas.
  • Enhance and improve high availability (HA) and failover configurations for mission-critical systems for internal platform areas and product/solution reference patterns used for Warehouse Automation systems.
  • Conduct analysis of issues and functionality within logs, monitoring systems, and observability areas (ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus) to identify enhancements as needed to improve stability and functionality.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and other IT teams to ensure database and infrastructure scalability requirements are met.
  • Mentors and guides other team members as part of team task and activities.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 2-5 Years experience in same or similar role within an infrastructure organization.
  • Strong hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud/hybrid platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) languages with advanced use (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
  • Proficient with databases and advanced DBA task (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) and backup strategies.
  • Advance experience with Linux and Windows environment setup and administration.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash languages.
  • Expertise in networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics).
  • Detail oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills.

 

Additional Skills a Plus:

  • Experience with CI/CD, Devops, or other platform infrastructure teams and roles.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and automation techniques with key infrastructure areas.
