The onsite Installation Quality Control Supervisor (IQC) is a key member of the project team during the installation and commissioning phases of the projects. This hands-on role is responsible for overall installation quality in accordance with the documented specifications. Working directly and side by side with the site installation team, driving safety for the installation personnel, status/progress reporting, tracking issues (installation OIL), inventory of materials, action items, and pre-commissioning of the system. Daily coordination with the Swisslog Site Manager, project engineers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders as needed.
Make an impact
• Installation Quality Control – Perform installation quality checks, manage IQC documentation/checklist and drive completion of action item list.
• Drive implementation of Swisslog Quality Standards and promote project consistency.
• Drive safety culture on all levels to insure accident-free installation
• Provide Technical Insight to Subcontractors on Swisslog Products, assisting Subcontractor with installation best practices and problem resolution.
• Drive Scheduled Completions of installation areas with Subcontractor,
• Facilitate Communication Between Subcontractors and other Swisslog Departments.
• Maintain 2 to 4 week look ahead to ensure correct and efficient headcounts for the task and materials available.
• Manage rental equipment inventory, ensuring needed amount rental equipment per the look ahead is available and excess equipment is returned
• Procure needed consumables and ensure proper stock is on hand when needed. Maintaining Company Tools and Assets
What you need to succeed
• High School Diploma or GED
• Team leadership skills and experience within the material handling industry.
• Demonstrated aptitude to perform on large scale, complex projects with limited oversight.
• 5+ years within mechanical installation leadership for automated material handling systems applications or comparable experience.
• Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License
• Qualified to acquire a valid Passport
• 30-Hour OSHA Course Certification
• Sound application knowledge of automated material handling equipment such as AS/RS, pallet and case conveyors, sorters, AGV’s, monorails, and shuttle systems, autostore.
• Strong experience in reading, understanding and translating various schematics and blueprints.
• Working at Heights
• Fall arrest / temporary barriers application, setup and construction
• Industrial Lockout/Tagout
• Fire Safety – Construction
Desirable:
• PowerPoint and other presentation skills and experience.
• AutoStore Installation management
• Thermite Welding Knowledge
• Hilti Total Station setup and operation
• Strong emphasis on process control.
• Very strong emphasis on safety management and safety plan execution.
• Spanish language fluency
