The Software Project Manager has responsibility for the overall success of software product development and customizations, implementations, client management, and overall client satisfaction. The Project Manager will manage a team of on-shore and off-shore resources including: tech leads and/or managers, software developers, business analysts, and quality assurance analysts. The Project Manager will also have full responsibility over project staffing and counseling of staff.

- Provide leadership, control and coordination of Software project team in terms of resources, performance management and information to maintain a team feeling and a target oriented approach towards common goals within the organization
- Successfully deliver project deliverables through the leadership and management of the project team, through team leaders and line managers as appropriate to ensure to meet and deliver contractual obligations of Swisslog clients
- Manage project issues, risks and assumptions through regular reporting
- To have a good understanding of the customers operational working practices to enable the team to improve the ability to influence, design and implement the project plan
- Analyses data and information to develop solutions
- Hold regular progress reviews and checkpoint meetings in order to ensure that progress and information are communicated to all relevant staff.
What you need to succeed
Essential
- BS degree in Computer Science
- 8+ years of software development and implementation experience
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation experience (e.g. SAP, Or-acle, etc.)Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or another project planning tool
- Good IT experience in Oracle and Java environments
- Strong understanding of SDLC Methodology
- Proven track record as Software Project Manager
- Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of technical and project management related tasks working with an experienced team of Professional Engineers and Project Managers.
- Proven experience of managing successful projects in terms of scope, budget and warranty
Desired
- MS degree in Computer Science
- Automated Material Handling Industry Experience
- 2+ years experience in budgeting, financial and organizational governance
- PMP Certification
- Experience in the field of warehouse management systems, supply chain or logistics
- Previous experience of working with a project methodology.
