Our Senior Electrical Engineer are accountable for the design, documentation, and development of next generation electrical/controls-hardware standards.

Make an impact

  • Responsible for high level electrical/controls-hardware concepts. Including the functionality, feasibility, quality, manufacturability, costs, and completion time.
  • Develop circuit designs for motor control, sensing, power distribution, communication, and cabling.
  • Maintain Electrical group’s standards of excellence in design development process, and provide guidance on local and national regulation, and industry standards.
  • Review final designs and its deliverables providing a smooth transition to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Mentor less-experienced employees, drive innovation, remove roadblocks, and build consensus.
  • Considers impacts to other disciplines, make optimum use of team members’ expertise.
  • Be a resource for internal and external customers providing electrical controls-hardware technical detail.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science /or equivalent experience in the field of electrical engineering
  • 5+ years industrial experience with sound knowledge of Swisslog’s standard electrical designs.
  • Proficient using E_Plan
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
  • Prior experience leading electrical teams on new projects.
  • Application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems (conveyors, monorail, etc.)
  • Practical experience with electrical engineering & electrical installations
  • Ability to creates electrical designs from scratch as well as lead team members to do the same.
  • Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills
  • Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet and modern field buses (e.g. PROFINET, TCP/IP, ASi), and AC drives.

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience with 3rd party panel shops.
  • Practical experience with Swisslog Controls requirements
  • Time management and reporting experience.
  • Lead a team under a timeline, releasing the design as forecasted during the review phase.
