Controls Software Engineer (Woodruff, SC)

Make an impact

• Support, repair, and upgrade installed systems.
• Provide after-hours controls support when needed to support system operations.
• Responsible for modification of existing PLCs and HMI software.
• Assist with error recovery and troubleshooting of controls system.
• Drives continuous improvement through analysis of the system and making or suggesting changes to the controls architecture.
• Maintains material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks such as Asi, Profibus, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Communicates technical issues to Site Manager.
• Assist with internal and external upgrades of Control system.

What you need to succeed

• 3-5 years of experience in technical environment inclusive of strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
• Ability to troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems using PLC software to localize issues.
• Ability to read and modify PLC code written in multiple different languages
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Highly proactive and self-motivated
