Are you ready to take on a high-impact leadership role in a dynamic, international environment?

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Project Management – South to lead our team of Project Managers and Site Managers in Italy, Spain and France. In this pivotal role, you will provide clear direction, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the consistent, high-quality delivery of complex customer projects. You will play a key role in driving collaboration within our EMEA Project Management organization, ensuring local execution aligns with regional processes and strategic initiatives. Your leadership will directly contribute to business growth, strengthened customer partnerships, and operational excellence across the South EMEA region. This role requires regular travel to engage with your team, visit project sites, build customer relationships, and participate in regional workshops and leadership forums.

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of Project Managers and Site managers across multiple countries, driving a high-performance culture and accountability for project success.
  • Ensuring excellence in project execution – from planning to delivery – by overseeing scope, timeline, cost, quality, and risk across all regional projects.
  • Serving as the strategic anchor point for the Project Management function in Southern EMEA, promoting best practices and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Actively monitoring project health and progression, leveraging KPIs, dashboards, and regular reviews to identify issues early and drive timely interventions.
  • Managing change requests, resource allocation, capacity planning, and project risk mitigation in coordination with your team and regional stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal project governance, methodology, and a strong focus on health, safety, and regulatory standards throughout execution.
  • Holding full budget ownership for the countries project portfolio, ensuring profitability and financial discipline.
  • Reporting progress and key metrics to the EMEA leadership team, offering insights and solutions to support continuous improvement and strategic alignment.

What you need to succeed

  • A university degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline, ideally combined with experience in automation, industrial systems, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in leading medium-to-large, complex projects in industrial or automation environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, directly managing Project Managers, Site Managers, or similar, with full project and budget responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, and ideally certified in PMP, Prince2, SAFe, or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety standards and industry compliance in project environments.
  • Fluent in English and Italian, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Knowledge of intralogistics and material handling processes is highly desirable.

You are a confident, proactive leader with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach. You thrive in a matrixed, multicultural environment, where influencing and collaboration are key. Your strong communication skills, business acumen, and focus on delivery excellence set you apart.
