We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Manager Integrated Solutions based in the Netherlands with hybrid working available. Our head office is based in Zaltbommel.
The position Sales Manager (SM) is a Senior role with the responsibility area of so called “Integrated Solution Sales” towards both new clients and existing clients. The position holds the responsibility for business development, generating leads, selling paid consultancy jobs with regards to Integrated Solution Sales. The main responsibility is the Solution Sales segment, meaning integrated systems consisting of a combination of different subsystems and the Software (SynQ). The sales channel is often towards larger new customers (New Business), a complex sales environment turning qualified leads and enquiries into high quality proposals, and finally converting these proposals into customer orders (Contracts). The Sales Managers is measured on both individual and group targets.
When additional sales team resources are allocated the Sales Manager is working close with and managing the per case defined allocated Sales Project Team. The team will typically consist of a Logistic Consultant (LC), a Solution Designer (SD) from the sales department, and realisation recourses such as Software a Solution Architect (SWSA) and a Project Realisation Manager (PM) to develop a robust solution, project proposal and contract draft. The Sales Project shall eventually lead to an Order and a strong Contract. Finally, the Contract is handed over from the Sales Manager (SM) to the Realization Project Management (PM) for Project realisation and implementation.

- Generate leads and develop solid customer relationships by developing a personal network of senior managers within the business sector.
- Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain customer acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, service and product
- Prepare sales and presentation material to a high standard
- Speak the customer’s language and understand the logistics challenges in Swisslog Industry focus areas like retail/E-com, food & beverage, pharmaceutical and distribution
- Analyze the prospect/customer and decide about appropriate strategy and potential solution
- Analyze data and information to develop solutions
- Establishes effective working relationships with regional sales, consulting & design, marketing and realization staff
- Communicate written or verbally in a senior executive environment as well as with other employees, customers, external consultants and suppliers
What you need to succeed
- Knowledge of sales of capital-intensive goods in a technical sales environment
- Ideally a passion for warehouse logistics (intralogistics) and engineering sales
- Automated warehouse logistics processes and strategy understanding is desirable
- Experienced with strategic marketing in a complex sales environment
- Enjoy working with stakeholders from different cultural and skill backgrounds
- Able to travel to customer sites on a regular basis
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills
