As a Security DevOps Engineer, you will create and operate a secure software development infrastructure and ensure that relevant security aspects are integrated into software development throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC). This includes architecture analysis, threat modelling, risk analysis and the planning of mitigation measures. Close collaboration with software development during the implementation phase and continuous support throughout the entire product lifecycle are also part of the tasks. You will work hand in hand with our software developers to proactively identify and fix security gaps and vulnerabilities. You will also improve our processes and tools to increase the maturity of our product security and the security of our software development process. You will use and lead a variety of tools and methodologies for threat modelling, risk assessments and vulnerability testing to categorise issues and manage remediation efforts.

Make an impact

  • Setup security tools and processes for infrastructure protection, monitoring and recovery
  • Responsible for ensuring Security in R&D Infrastructure across cloud-platforms and global KUKA datacenters
  • Focal point regarding security policies and accompanying guidance in R&D software development processes
  • Provide security expertise and guidance to different roles within the software development department
  • Lead and control security reviews within the software development process
  • Drive continously security improvements to KUKA software products and services

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, IT security or a similar technical field
  • Strong experience in various security engineering areas: Secure software development (SSDLC), Threat modeling and mitigation techniques, Operation system security (Linux and Windows), Vulnerability management
  • Proficient in understanding complex technical issues and managing them with a large variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of OWASP/SANS-Top-25 and standards like NIST, BSI or IEC 62443
  • Enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with security threats
  • Good English and team-working skills
